California Dreams Tour question

I went to the CDT in October and I was wondering why were there some dates in which Katy played the flute and also there were some differences with her costumes too
E.g Teenage Dream - Heart costume / Peppermint bra costume
Firework - Mermaid costume / Lightbulb costume ?

I just wanted to know why she did her shows differently.

The Teenage Dream heart costume was from the first leg of the tour and she also 'played' the flute on the first leg too  :) Peppermint swirl costume was 2nd leg.  Katy said she wanted a "Fresh perspective and a fresh new show everytime they go and see it"  :xx:
