It's exciting that she *might* be working on a new album now, but there isn't much (if any) real evidence. And Red Hill? Come on.

at 0:50 Benny Blanco confirms he's working with Katy on something. (This was filmed in May, so after TD:CC finished up and everything)

And of course we all know Bonnie McKee is working with Katy on it.
So it's been in the words for at least half a year now! I think that means she's taking her time if the thing about the Summer 13 release is true, which is a good thing.

So. I’m realizing something. A good chunk of KatyCats think Katy is going to go dark on the next album. And she said this during the “Interview” magazine… interview… earlier this year, but I kinda thought it was a joke with what was said before and certainly what Katy said after, “You wont see my face cuz my hair will be covering it.” Can anyone else just clearly hear Katy said that… IN her joking way? And then a hoopla of articles and news things took the quote (without the hair part—or some did include that) and we all went coo-coo, lol. And around KP3D release time I had seen an interview with Katy and she said she did not plan on going dark. But KP3D was a whirlwind of cray cray promo, so I had NO idea where/when I saw it, lol.

Epic interview… it’s one of those ones where you walk away with a better understanding of who Katy is and what she stands for. (And I think this one also says the faucet thing—which she recently tweeted about turning on… I KNEW I had heard her say that faucet thing before about /creating/songwriting, lol) So, for any1 that is still reading this… Katy’s got a lot on her mind, sure, but this whole “Katy’s next album is going to be f*cking dark, she said so!”…isn’t so much the truth, lol. Unless she’s had a mega change of heart since June… but… not thinking so. Some think ET is “dark”… so it’s all perspective, I guess.

But wow, wanted to at least say that and link to this interview cuz I have seen SO much of this dark stuff.

OH, and BOOYAH to this interview being done in Canada, hehehe!!

I remember katy said in a interview that she will not do an all record about the split/break ( I am not sure of the word ) because she isn't adele.
So I don't think her album will be so fucking dark.... like marilyn manson
but I amexcited to listen new itunes and it's katy so I think it will be different, and I love evolution

I just guess she means darker than teenage dream. you can see her styling change and i guess the new record willjust get much more immature. i'd love to see her with some more guitars around again actually.. so darker sounds better to me due to the new record news. bonnie has been posting some pics with her and katy in studio. so the record is coming. wouldn't wonder if we'll here some new tunes around april/may (similar to TD)
