The US charts (Billboard Hot 100) started to include streaming during 2012. Streaming includes YouTube/VEVO. So if you get a viral music video, such as Miley's Wrecking Ball it really throws things out of whack.
I see, thanks.
Not good for new entries, chart becomes less legit, fucks everything up in general really.
The UK official charts just announced that they're going to start counting streaming. Oh dear. why is that bad?
Yes, I can see that; it's difficult really, for example I hardly stream Katy's official things because I buy everything of hers as soon as it's out, or even preorder. YouTube I really use for things like Katy's blog videos, interviews, funniest moments, and stuff, but hardly to watch DH or TD. So, would I really support her best if I buy everything but then continue streaming it anyway...?
