Ya I remember hearing, I think it was simple, on One Tree Hill, it was a really old episode. I think it was at a time when Peyton and Lucas were in the car together. I know that's very vague but ya that's all I remember :L

Not really a random place but I was watching a local news program and they started talking about catholic priests. Then they played a snippet of Last Friday Night before going to commercial. How funny is that?  :)

I remembering hearing one of Katy's song in I think either JCPenny or Sears, in a mall. And in a Dollar General Store, either California Gurls or Teenage Dream.

I was just watching an episode of Go On (on NBC with Matthew Perry) and it played One Of The Boys!
and there was this little joke (I'm paraphrasing because I'm too lazy to look up the script):

Matthew Perry: I love doing girly things
Assistant: I don't believe you
Matthew Perry: Look at my iPod. Not my fake one with Led Zeppelin but my real one (he hands it to her and she scrolls through it)
Assistant: Wow, that's a lot of Katy Perry

that's when it went into a montage of him doing "girly" things with her while they played One Of The Boys
I loved it because they used one of her non singles which makes me think the writer of the episode is definitely a fan of Katy's  :)
