Usually they have taped messages from the celebrity for each crew. Usually they just say something like

i watched some of the episodes in previous seasons. this might not hv much of katy appearance but i do wanna hear how they mix up the song for dance routine!

NOTHING.  There may be a video msg from her introducing herself as an artist and telling the dancers what they will do.

The dance teams will dance to her songs.  :)

woah cool I love this show (even if I dont watch it anymore, but when the season will come out in french I'll watch it haha) I want to see what they done with her songs! (and wtf peacock, its not even a single...)
