Why does Katy no longer talk about Kitty Purry?
« on: November 20, 2016, 11:28:13 PM »
I notice that Katy no longer talks about Kitty Purry anymore.  She seems to only talk about Butters and Nugget.  Does anybody know why?  Did Kitty Purry unfortunately pass away?  I hope not.  Has Katy just lost interest in cats?  Or has a bully such as Dr. Luke pressured Katy into not talking about Kitty Purry anymore?  Does anybody know when Katy last mentioned Kitty Purry and/or showed a picture of her?

For that matter, what is the deal with Butters?  I thought I read on this forum that Katy gave Butters to Tamara.  But then Katy mentions Butters as if she's still her own dog.  Did Tamara give Butters back to Katy?

Just curious.  Thanks.

Katy recently got another dog, Cheeto.

Not sure what's going on with her cats though.
Never grow up!

Last time I've heard she is alive and well as of a year ago. I think we don't hear about them as much is simply cats aren't really portable animals. Katy brings her dogs everywhere. Kitty Purry is left with family when she has to go somewhere. The problem with that is is that she's not home very much at all.... Even while she's been on break she's been on multiple vacations... I don't think she's been in Santa Barbara much. It's sad I don't think she ever sees her honestly.

I don't see how this pertains to Dr. Luke @ all and once again you seem like you're insinuating something again.

Well, you can't carry cats around like you can with dogs. No, Dr. Puke has NOTHING to do with Katy and/or her pets. She doesn't answer to him. Katy left Kitty Purry with her brother.

Katy gave Butters to Tamra. No, Tamra didn't give Butters back to Katy. Katy has Nugget now. No, Katy does not mention Butters as if she's her own.

I didn't realize that Katy hadn't been home at all since the tour ended.  Then again, she's been campaigning for Hillary Clinton all the time.  Hopefully she realizes what a waste of time and resources that was.

And that's real mature referring to Dr. Luke as Dr. Puke.  Even I refer to people I dislike by their correct name.  I've never used any of the commonly used derogatory names for Hillary Clinton, as much as I dislike her.

In any case, it seems her pet situation is:

Kitty Purry: Still alive, but basically David's pet at this point
Monkey: Probably same situation as Kitty Purry
Butters: Tamara's pet, but Katy sees her a lot
Nugget: Katy's pet
Cheeto: Katy's pet

Waste of time, yes, but not through her fault. It is something H. Clinton should know that flamboyant appearances of pop stars in election campaigns haven't got the slightest influence on actual elections. If anything, I'd criticise Clinton for possibly thinking she could let others do a large part of the work for her, and in the wrong way. I watched Katy's 'gigs' at the rallys for the sake of watching her alone while another part of me was thinking, what do they think they're doing. I think the pets are just loved and cared for in a group of people, it's unimportant if this dog or cat is by definition this or that person's.

I'm not about to get into a political fight with y'all because this is very off topic but to say it was a waste of time I personally would say is false. Whether you agree with Hillary or not you cannot deny that Katy and Bey and the other celebrity endorsements got us talking about politics whether you liked her or not. The intent was never to blindly vote for a candidate due to a celebrity endorsement the intent was to bring politics into popular culture and to encourage others to educate themselves. And Katy was simply getting involved in politics. Most people encourage everyone to get educated and get involved in politics and Katy has done so for years, if she is passionate and wants to help the world change she should be allowed to fight for what she believes in. That's never a waste of time.

What are you, my mother? We don't know if Cheeto is actually her's.

I definitely agree with you.  And, as I said before, the fact that my favorite celebrity supports a candidate actually makes me not want to support that candidate, since I know that a celebrity's needs are very different from mine.

I was just curious as to the situation with Kitty Purry.

I have to respectfully disagree with you.  I feel that Katy was trying to manipulate the low information voters into voting for Clinton for no reason than because she supports her.  I do not feel that she was trying to get low information voters interested in politics; she was just hoping that they would be dumb enough to blindly support whoever she supported.  Luckily, not enough people were dumb enough to fall for that.

Katy's direct message to everyone was 'go and vote', not 'vote for what I vote'. She also very supported Clinton which is a different thing. If she had supported a feminist she'd have supported a different politician from the start as long as it made sense, not her in the first place. Being female doesn't make Hillary Clinton a feminist. She is not. The only thing I would disagree on with Katy and many others is she wanted by all means a female president in a way as if that was the only criteria which mattered. It is not. The 'future' may be 'female' sometime (that slogan) but not with Clinton. The only reasonable motive to vote for her in the end would have been to prevent the USA from transforming into a authoritarian fascist state which the country and the world are faced with now.
I agree Katy was right in using her celebrity status to try getting people involved, I disagree with Clinton to think pop songs help her to win an election, those are two entirely different things.

I wouldn't say Clinton voters are dumb but to each their own. I do agree that celebrities should not influence who someone votes for because that is a decision that should be based off of what YOU as an individual believes in. Not who someone else believes it. It's a personal decision that should be thought about very carefully. However, I do not believe Katy was trying to get people to vote for Hillary, just trying to make her own beliefs known to the public because it was something she is passionate about

I wasn't a huge fan of Clinton either but I cant stand Trump. I do not believe in anything he stands for so I voted for Hillary because I didn't see any other option

I never said that Clinton voters are dumb.  I meant that people who listen to celebrities when deciding who to vote for are dumb.

That is exactly how I feel about Trump.  This was an election between 2 deeply flawed candidates.  I am not a huge fan of Trump at all, but I can't stand Clinton.  I do not believe in anything she stands for, so I voted for Trump as the lesser of 2 evils.
