While I think Knowles was both sight impaired and naive even at the time he did the interview I don't believe he's responsible for his employers digging this up and grossly misrepresenting it - and I wish some people of this fan base weren't so stupid to send abuse and threats to random people called Chris Knowles on twitter, like to a NYC weather forecaster, or a youth worker who also happens to have the same name. If they had any intelligence to do 5 minutes' research that wouldn't happen - and they don't realize that it's Katy's image they could damage with their stupidity, not some reporter's.
Apparently it's from 2012. But 3 years ago she wasn't 29 and tiny either. Maybe the guy only dreamt all this.
That's why the interview seemed so déjà vu to me^^
While reading it I was wondering why they would come up with divorce and Russel considering she told several times that she's over it. Something in that interview sounded so wrong and now we know why^^
RIP Chris Knowles's career
I don't know why they would send threat to anyone at all. That's not even a big deal. I mean of course that's not cool from the daily telegraph but I don't think Katy is devestated either^^
Some fans are just young and reckless I guess
I think it's idolization with zero tolerance towards trespassers. The idol (e.g. Katy) is sacred, practically sits on a throne, and if somebody blasphemes against her/him they pretty much deserve to rot in hell. What the actual issue is is not worth looking into, the fact that somebody annoyed Katy, however slightly with whatever relatively trivial thing, is enough. That's a mechanism similar to extreme Islamism of the present day or the Catholic Church's Inquisition of much longer ago. If KatyCat fundamentalists were adults of my age rather than schoolgirls I might not feel so free to tweet or post rather anything I want without being worried.
I completely agree, the problem is not sending threats to the wrong person but sending any at all, of course.
Also agree and tend to think that Katy was very likely mildly annoyed, vented about it on her computer or iPhone, and a moment later moved on to the next thing in her busy, many faceted life. NBD for her, but for the KatyCat neighborhood watch it can be.
